Trees
by Carole Worthington
As a student in the 1950’s, I learned from the Abstract Expressionists. De Kooning was my hero. As a result, abstraction still shows up in my work. My studio is surrounded by live and black oaks, and they sing to me. They nourish my creative abilities. All of the paintings in this show were inspired by Nature surrounding my home and studio on Clearwater Lake.

I have been painting and making art for 60 plus years. I was an established painter in Puerto Rico for eleven years, which included a show in their national museum. Later, in East Hampton, NY, I showed with the Benton/Bujese Galleries, participating in group and solo shows. Since 1995, I have been painting, making pottery, and doing photography here in Hawthorne, FL.
