Robin Lee Makowski is an award-winning professional artist, illustrator, author, and instructor specializing in watercolor.  Her current series, Happy Hour, is a “spirited celebration of our cocktail culture, and a lot of fun to research!”

Robin prefers to work on Aquabord instead of watercolor paper, but is proficient at both, as well as in other media.

Aquabord is an absorbent clay-coated Masonite board that mimics the surface of cold-pressed watercolor paper.  When dry, it can be spray-coated with archival varnish, eliminating the need for mats and glass and distracting reflection.
