Bio & Artist's Statement
I may not know who I am but I know where I am from.
~Wallace Stegner
I am a native Floridian. I grew up in Gainesville and I have lived in the Micanopy area for 36 years. My love of our natural world and the trees, plants, birds, and flowers within it inspire my work and nurture my soul.

My photographic work, which also includes black and white, abstract, architecture, minimalism and vintage photography, has been published in Black & White Magazine, Shots Magazine, and on 1X, an online curated website, and has received numerous awards in Gainesville Fine Arts Association exhibits.
Photo encaustic is a blending of encaustic wax, an ancient medium which is a mixture of beeswax and damar resin, and a photographic print. Each image is printed on archival paper, mounted on a board, painted with clear melted encaustic wax, allowed to harden and then fused by reheating to a liquid state. There may be multiple layers of wax depending on the image.
